SRINAGAR, Oct 9 : A delegation of the Saveline Trust, Batakote, Pahalgam, met N N Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation discussed with the Governor and Navin K. Choudhary, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, the efforts made by the Trust for the past some years to provide medicare services to the Shri Amarnathji yatris at various places on Pahalgam-Holy Cave route.
The delegation comprising Malik Afzal, Chairman of the Saveline Trust, and Dr Gulzar Ahmad, its Organizer, said that the Trust is planning to further enlarge these efforts to improve the facilities for the visiting pilgrims.
The Governor thanked the Trust for their services, over the years, and looked forward to its continuing support to the pilgrimage in the future.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Jabbar Malik, of the Malik family of Batakote, Pahalgam, which is associated with the Shri Amarnathji Yatra, also called on Mr Vohra.
Mr. Malik discussed with the Governor and Navin K. Choudhary, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, various issues relating to the management of annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra, particularly the facilities which are required to be timely put in place to facilitate the pilgrims.
