Sir,
This has reference to the article ‘Protect Chanchlo Devi Forest Wildlife’ DE Dec 8, 2015. The author has indeed raised an important issue to be taken note of by the concerned stake-holders wildlife department, people living near forests and environments.
Wildlife is an important component of forests, and is responsible for maintaining ecology of the area. Their conservation is quite important in view of rapid deforestation that is taking place in the forest areas. The loss of any species of wildlife is a great threat to bio-diversity. Though loss of a single species may not matter much as of now, but if we continue to lose it one by one, it certainly matter of great concern.
Wildlife in this part of the State is dwindling fast, and it can be gauged from the way, the people of the area flocked to see the killed stag. The spectacle may have left some in shock and some in surprise.
The Wildlife Department must wake up from its deep slumber and take concrete measure to save the remaining wildlife in the State.
Yours etc…
