JAMMU, Jan 1: Voicing serious concern over the issue of reservation in promotion and the non-responsive attitude of J&K State Government, the employees of reserved categories are organizing “Save Reservation Rallies” at Kathua and Udhampur districts Headquarter on January 3.
The rallies are being organized under the aegis of Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA), frontal organization of employees Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward classes (OBC), Residents of Backward Areas (RBA) and Actual Line of Control (ALC) categories, informed Dr Sanjay Bhasin, president of JKRCEA, while addressing a press conference here today.
In very near future, the association would launch State wide protest, in case the Government does not resolve the issue by restoring the reservation in promotion,” he warned and urged the Ministers and legislators, especially those from reserved categories, to take up and pursue the matter vigorously in a time bound manner.
