JAMMU, Dec 12: Central Hindi Directorate of the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development today announced Annual Hindi Best Book Awards, which has gone to prominent Hindi writer poet and researcher Satish Vimal.
Satish Vimal got the award for his Hindi poetry book ‘Kaal Surya’. The award comprises of a cash amount of one lakh rupees, a citation and a trophy. ‘Kaal Surya’ is the third Hindi poetic collection of Vimal, whose fifteen books have been published till now. Satish has earlier been awarded by Sahitya Akademi, State Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Union Ministry of I&B, Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh in addition to many other national and State level cultural and literary organisations. He is known for his research in the field of aesthetics and analysis of conflict literature.
A well known broadcaster Satish Vimal writes in Urdu, Kashmiri and English in addition to Hindi.
