Sat tours Shakti Nagar, hears public grievances

JAMMU, Oct 14: Former Minister and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) visited Ward 29 where a large number of locals met him and apprised him of the problems being faced by them from quite some time. Sharma was accompanied by social and political activists. Officials from PWD (R&B) were also present during MLA’s tour in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that an extensive tour was conducted in all the areas of the Ward along with officials of PWD and locals of the area and it was brought to his notice by locals that main road of Shakti Nagar from AG Office to Pawan Ice Cream needs immediate black topping for which he directed the authorities of PWD to take up the works in order to avoid public inconvenience.
Locals also apprised him of the situation regarding repair of two lanes in the area for which the MLA directed the concerned authorities to check the problem and take strict note of the sanitation system in the area. He directed to the Health Officer of JMC to ensure cleanliness of the area as the Prime Minister has launched a nationwide campaign regarding the same.
He also appealed to the masses to spare sometime in a day or a week to promote the vision of “Swach Bharat” in order to make a “Clean and Green” Jammu.
Locals of the Ward also expressed their gratitude towards the MLA and complimented him for doing a major development in their Ward. They expressed the hope that their representative will work with the same pace day and night to make Jammu West as a Model Constituency.
Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Rajan Mengi, JE Rakesh Khajuria, BJP publicity secretary Surinder Choudhary, Heera Lal Sharma, Baanta Singh, Surinder Sharma, Rakesh Rasyal, Dinesh Magotra, Pawan Singh, Karan Kumar and several others accompanied MLA during his visit in the Ward.
