Sat Sharma’s concern over shortage of ration

JAMMU, Apr 11: A delegation comprising of dozens of people belonging to All India Consumer Forum met BJP MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) and apprised him of the difficulties being faced by the residents of Jammu City especially Rehari Colony, New Plots, Sarwal and other adjoining areas by submitting a memorandum regarding the shortage of ration supply in the areas. The delegation also apprised the MLA that people have been suffering due to non-availability of rations in their areas.
In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma (CA) said that it is a matter of deep concern that the residents of Jammu city have to face such a huge problem pertaining to ration supply in their areas. He said that the memorandum also stated that the many complaints have been received from inhabitants of many areas that they are not being issued ration from their respective Government ration depot.
He also said that according to delegation, the version of depots holders, the ration quota for the month of March and April has not been released by the CAPD Department despite of the fact that they have already deposited money with the Department for the ration quota, but the ration supply in the whole Jammu city is totally held up due to unknown reason which as a result has caused hue and cry of people for need of ration commodities in Jammu city.
The BJP MLA stated that the delegation also apprised him that the ration holders are not being issued Ration commodities as per specific scale fixed by CAPD Department.
Sharma also called upon Director CAPD and asked him to look into the matter. He also assured the delegation that necessary steps for overcoming this problem will be taken in this regard so that the basic demands of the public could be met.
Convenor of Forum Kapil Dev Sharma, Mohinder Dev Sharma, Praduman Singh, Naresh Kumar Choudhary, Subash Sharma, Rajesh Bhardwaj and others were also present while submitting memorandum to the MLA.
