JAMMU, May 25: Continuing his development agenda in Jammu West, BJP MLA Sat Sharma (CA) started the work of improvement of deep drains at Sector Number 4, Bhagwati Nagar area in Ward Number 14. Accompanied by UEED officials, JMC officials, PWD (R&B) officials, local BJP leaders and local residents of the area, Sharma started the works in the area.
The work will be done under the supervision of UEED Department and it will complete the work of deep drains in Sector Number 4 of Bhagwati Nagar area at an estimated cost of around Rupees 3.50 lakhs.
On the demands of local residents of the area, Sharma also started the works for four speed breakers in Bhagwati Nagar which was a dire need and people complained that vehicles pass in high speed from the area thereby exposing the resident to grave threat.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma (CA) assured the public that the works for other lanes and drains in the area will soon be taken up by the concerned departments so that people do not face any problem.
Sharma also instructed the PWD (R&B) officials to install a fence on the centre of the road above the Nullah which was earlier causing disruption for public as many times lives of people were at risk when they had to pass through that road and caused accidents and hurting people.
Executive Engineer UEED Rakesh Gupta, PWD (R&B) AEE Sandeep Gupta, UEED AEE Satish Sharma, UEED AE SL Raina, UEED JE Sunil Gupta, JMC JE SK Bhat, BJP Leaders Parmod Kapahi, Ayodhya Gupta, Darshan Lal, Sanjay Sawhney, Deepak Gadyal, Purshottam Khajuria, Arjun Mehra, Ankush and others were also present on the occasion.
