JAMMU, July 5: Former Minister, Housing & Urban Development & MLA from Jammu West Assembly Constituency, Sat Sharma (C.A) kick started blacktopping work near Best Price at Toph Road area of Ward 39 today.
MLA was accompanied by BJP district president, Ayodhya Gupta, large number of people including officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation, (JMC), local residents and many social as well as political activists of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the blacktopping of the road was a long pending demand of the local residents after the digging of deep drain. He said that the drain was very important requirement as many vehicles and the commuters pass daily through this road and it remains always filled with water during the rainy season.
He said now after the construction of the drain, there was an urgent need to reconstruct the road to ease out the passage through the area.
While giving details of the present work, Sat Sharma said that the work will be executed under the supervision of PWD at an estimated cost of 18 lakh rupees. He also claimed that no ward of Jammu West is left behind in terms of development and it can be seen from the works being done in various areas of Jammu West.
Sharma said that BJP has delivered on the ground by always remaining on the fore front. He said that Jammu has witnessed unprecedented growth and that becomes more important when Jammu lagged behind on every front for decades together owing to the wrong policies by previous Governments, he added.
Sharma also took the opportunity to appeal to the masses for contributing to the noble cause by promoting the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi of building a “clean and green nation”.
Prem Gupta, Puneet Mahajan, Jeet Angral, Kuldeep Magotra, Keshav Chopra, Jai Singh and many others were also present on the occasion.
