KARGIL, Aug 25: Former Minister and BJP president of Jammu and Kashmir Sat Sharma `CA’ today expressed confidence that the BJP will form its Government in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil elections scheduled to be held on September 10.
Speaking to reporters along with senior party leader from J&K and ex MLC Vikram Randhawa, Sat Sharma said the BJP has fielded its candidates on 17 out of 26 seats of the LAHDC Kargil and is supporting seven like-minded candidates in other constituencies.
“Definitely, we will form the Government in the LAHDC Kargil. I have been touring district along with Randhawa for last 10 days and I have seen massive response among the public for the BJP,” Sharma said.
He said the people in Kargil district also like other parts of the country are deeply impressed with development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in view of this they will vote for the BJP candidates.
Replying to a question on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s claim of unemployment in Ladakh, Sat Sharma rejected the claim saying massive development in Ladakh has also led to generation of employment.
He described Rahul Gandhi’s Ladakh trip as `Bharat Todo’ and not `Bharat Jodo’ yatra as claimed by the Congress.
During his Kargil visit, Sat Sharma and Vikram Randhawa campaigned for the BJP candidates.
