JAMMU, Aug 11: A delegation comprising of dozens of people hailing from Durga Nagar area of Ward number 40, Talab Tillo met Senior leader of BJP and State incharge of BJP Cells Sat Sharma (CA) and apprised him of the difficulties which the residents of the area are facing regarding their electricity bills. They told that electricity bills were wrongly calculated and the amount in the bills exceeded many times of the electricity they are using.
Under the leadership of BJP leader, the delegation met Executive Engineer PDD BS Jaggi where Sat Sharma (CA) apprised him of the problems faced by the residents, accompanied by district vice president BJP Sanjay Baru and general secretary Durga Nagar Welfare Society R K Tickoo.
In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma alleged that the error was creeping in the electricity bills of the Talab Tillo area and urged the officer concerned to check the amount loaded in the bills of the current year where the amounts are wrongly printed.
Executive Engineer assured the delegation that the problems faced by the people of Talab Tillo area regarding their electricity bills will be looked on a priority note and soon a viable solution will be brought up regarding the concerned problem.
Sehdev Singh, Narottam Singh, Devinder Singh, Praduman Koul, Surinder Dhar, Sat Pal, Sahil Koul, Munish Raja, Ravi Sharma, Rohit Bawa, Surinder Sawhney, Akash Gupta were among the prominent residents who also accompanied the delegation.
