JAMMU, Dec 31: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Sat Sharma (CA) kickstarted construction works of multi facility park at Ward 39 near Ram Sharnam Ashram. The work of the park was sanctioned in District Development Board (DDB) meeting some time back on the recommendations of Sat Sharma.
During the kick starting of the work, the BJP leader was also accompanied by officials of PWD, State secretary BJP and in charge Jammu West, Praduman Singh, State treasurer, BJP, Prabhat Singh Jamwal, district president, BJP, Ayodhya Gupta, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works are being constructed under the supervision of PWD at an estimated cost of Rupees 84 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that this was a long pending demand of thousands of inhabitants and there was a vacant land of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) measuring 4.5 kanals in the area which was discussed by him in every DDB meeting and after his continuous efforts and the efforts of then H&UD Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, the amount was sanctioned for construction of a multi facility park in the area which will cater to the needs of adjoining wards and every person who will visit after its construction.
He said this park will be a unique park in Jammu city and its construction includes iron Grill Fencing, Iron Gates, Tile Paths, Landscaping, Central Fountain, Sprinkler System, Water ATM, Children Amusement Equipments, Modernized Benches and other necessary things to make it a unique thing in town.
Prabhat Singh, Praduman Singh and Ayodhya Gupta appreciated the efforts of former MLA Jammu West for taking up such an important work in the area and stated that such places are of great importance for the locals as people including old aged, children, Ladies and gents can use it for spending their leisure time and it also helps in keeping them physically and mentally fit.
AEE PWD Sharma, Mandal president, Vijay Sharma, Kamlesh Shoor, Raghubir, Mahesh Choudhary, Pinki Sapru, Rita Nehru, Vijay Nehru, Praveen, Surinder Bhan, Reva Raina, Rajni rattan, Dr. Promila, Chander Kanta, Sumitra, Santosh Jamwal, Varinder Takur, Chib Ji, AshokBhat, Tarun Sharma and several others were also present.
