JAMMU, Nov 17: BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), during his visit to the J&K Bank Branch in Talab Tillo along with Jammu West district president Ayodhya Gupta, interacted with the customers in the premises of the Bank and took stock of the problems being faced by them in their transactions.
The party had made arrangements of drinking water, tea, biscuits etc. and the same were offered to the people by Sat Sharma and other leaders of the party. The party leaders also helped the customers in filling up their forms for exchange of currency notes besides taking up the problems of the people with the bank officials on duty.
Sat Sharma, on this occasion, said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a very bold decision to nail corruption, black money, fake currency by banning and declaring invalid the existing currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 and there is overwhelming appreciation from the public.
Sharma said that there have been reports that the customers are facing problems in some branches and the party at High Command has directed its leaders and activists across the country to go to the public and extend them help in their transactions related matters and also make available eatables, water, tea etc. as every branch might not be in a position to even cater to the need of drinking water in the times when large number of people are rushing to the banks.
He expressed hope that the people will not fall prey to the false propaganda unleashed by some leaders of opposition parties, who have lost their sleeps due to the historic step taken by Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre by totally nullifying the existing currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.
