JAMMU, May 21: State BJP president and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma today inaugurated newly constructed lanes at Vasant Vihar and Priyadarshni Nagar in Talab Tillo area of Ward No 40.
The MLA was accompanied by JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents of the area as well as many social and political activists of the area. The works were executed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh. The works include tiling work of the lanes and construction of drains.
While speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma stated that many new development works will also be started in coming days which will improve the system of providing basic amenities to the masses of Jammu West. He said that within few days the works for blacktopping of roads will also be taken up by the concerned departments in order to provide best connectivity of roads to the residents of not only Jammu West but others too who pass through those roads.
He also appealed the masses to promote the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of building a “Clean and Green nation” and spare some time to contribute in this noble initiative.
XEn JMC, Prabodh Sharma, XEn UEED, Rajan Sharma, JMC AEE, Varinder Singh Pathania, AEE JMC Vinay Arora, SI Sumit Sharma, BJP secretary, Sanjay Baru, district president, BJP, Ayodhya Gupta and Mandal president, Jeet Angral were also present on the occasion.
