JAMMU, Apr 27: BJP State president and MLA Sat Sharma today inaugurated first Jan Aushadhi Kendra of the Jammu and Kashmir State in the Vikas Nagar area of Ward No. 39 in Jammu West Assembly Constituency.
Sat Sharma while addressing the gathering after the inauguration of Kendra said that “Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana” is a campaign launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Government of India, to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special kendra’s known as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PMBJK) has been set up to provide generic drugs, which are available at lesser but are equivalent in quality and efficacy as expensive branded drugs prices available in the market.
He further said that availability of these drugs at the affordable prices to the common masses will certainly result in improving the quantity as well as quality of life of the sick and the needy in all financial categories. He said that BJP, with its motto of “nation first, party second, self last” both at the Centre as well as the State level is committed to provide the best health facilities.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking forward the dream of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the birth centenary year of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Ji. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was a strong advocate of humanity above all the sects. His teachings of reaching up to the last man standing in last row are being fulfilled by the launch of these schemes by the Central Government under the able leadership of Narendra Modi. Progress of a society can be gauged only by the evaluation of the living standards of the poorest of the poor residing in the society, he added.
