Sat dedicates BJP’s massive rally to Siachen martyrs

JAMMU, Feb 14: Making a scathing attack on Congress and national vice president of the party Rahul Gandhi, BJP legislative Party leader, Dr Nirmal Singh today said that what can be more proof of pseudo secularism propagated by Congress that Mr Gandhi visited JNU to support those people who raised anti-national slogans and raised slogans in support of secessionist elements in J&K.
Talking to reporters here today at the sidelines of BJP rally organised by Jammu District of the party at Kamla Palace near here today, he said “what can be bigger pseudo secularism than it that Congress leadership went to JNU to support the anti national elements there.
Dr Sing said that the present generation is reaping the fruits of blunders made by Congress Party in 1947 and afterwards. On the formation of government in the State he said the same will be framed soon and decision in this regard will be taken by party high Command only.
The rally was in continuation of party’s “Vikas Sushasan Sankalp rallies”, and it was presided over by BJP State chief Sat Sharma (CA) and former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislative party leader, Dr Nirmal Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. The rally was organised by district president Jammu West Ayodhaya Gupta.
Addressing the rally Dr Nirmal Singh said that the BJP has played very important and critical role in J&K as being in the forefront of nationalist forces.  During last 67 years, this State has witnessed sacrifices of great leaders, soldiers and the common citizens, who stood like a rock against the forces inimical to the unity and integrity. He said that previously a glance at the country’s position in the comity of the world nations indicated India being managed by a rapaciously dispensation but Narendra Modi restored the glory of the country and today the nation is highly regarded. “Being an Indian is considered as a pride and the NRIs have been appreciating Narendra Modi for stopping corruption and making India a world leader.
He said that ten months’ governance in the J&K by BJP in coalition was a golden period when 67 corrupt officials were shown the door, healthy work culture was introduced, land for IIT, AIIMS were identified, IIM, IIMC and IHM were sanctioned for Jammu, Food Safety Act extended to J&K, thousands of Kanals of illegally occupied government land was retrieved, work on beautification and development of river Tawi on Sabarmati pattern was initiated, amnesty scheme for electricity consumers, etc were introduced.
Sat Sharma dedicated this rally to the brave soldiers who recently sacrificed their lives at Siachin Glacier. A two minutes silence was also held in their memory. He said that these heroes laid down their lives while defending borders of the State. He said that the massive gathering in the rally has once again proved that people have seen the rule of BJP at the Centre and in the State and want to be associated with it. He said that while the UPA-I and UPA-II scaled continuously higher and higher heights of corruption, scams etc and on the contrary BJP led NDA checked corruption and launched Jan Dhan Yojna, Insurance schemes for farmers, poor people.
He said that in Jammu West Constituency works worth 10 crores rupees were initiated by Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rs. 72.98 crores earmarked for replacing the old and leaking water pipes, black topping of roads, improvement in supply of essential commodities etc were gifts to the people by the erstwhile BJP coalition government. He further added that BJP made efforts to bring fundamental change in the administrative machinery to make it more responsive to the aspiration of people of the all the regions as also transparent and accountable.
Ashok Khajuria, in his address said that certain political outfits have adopted double standards, when inward looking regional forces do something which does not advance integration. These outfits remain silent and when nationalist forces say something in favour of the nation and nationalist people, they bemoan them as communal and sectarian. He also advised the people to study not only Hindi and English but also Urdu language. Urdu language has been the official language of the State since the time of Maharaja.
District general secretary Sanjeev Sharma conducted proceedings while District general secretary Prem Gupta presented vote of thanks.
