POONCH, May 6: BJP Poonch district held Working Committee meeting here today, which was organized by district president Capt. (retd) Bansi Lal and BJP State president and MLA Sat Sharma was the chief guest.
While addressing the Working Committee members, Sat Sharma said that the BJP is a party which works on the principle of “nation first, party second and self last”. While keeping the aim of reaching to the last man standing in the row, we need to prepare for the forthcoming ULB/Panchayat as well as next Assembly Elections of the State. He said that ours is not power hungry party but it is a mission to ensure that the power goes into the right hands. Every leader of the party must reach to the ground workers to achieve this objective and the day will not be far away when the BJP will form the Government on its own by securing a clear cut majority in the state.
Capt. Bansi Lal said that all the activists of Poonch district are committed towards the Party and are ground workers linked to every household. “It is their dedication towards people’s cause that we are able to gain overwhelming support from the locals of the area irrespective of the caste or creed”.
BJP State vice-president Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP is known for its inner democracy and discipline while carrying on the party activities. It is due to the clean image of the leaders of the party that people have shown their confidence and support to the party in every part of the State and the country.
BJP State president Tour Department Incharge Rakesh Mahajan, additional treasurer Arvind Gupta, State media secretary, Suraj Singh and Mahila Morcha district president also addressed the meeting.
While returning to Jammu, Sat Sharma, along with senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta chaired a meeting of the prominent activists of Rajouri district at Rajouri.
Meanwhile, district R S Pura and Kathua also held their District Working Committee meetings.
