JAMMU, May 11: Sarveshwar Group of Industries, Jammu, an established player in Rice Industry, launched its first Organic Store under the brand name ‘Nimbark’ at Channi, in a glittering ceremony which was attended by galaxy of personalities.
Dr Hasseb A Drabu, Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the store which offers whole range of organic products.
In his address, Drabu said that with the open of ‘Nimbark’ people of Jammu will get safe food at their doorsteps. Daljeet Singh Chib, Vice Chairman, Board for Welfare of Kisans, MLC Vikram Randhawa, and Bhushan Dogra, Vice-Chairman, SC/ST Board, were present on the occasion.
Dr Pradeep K Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu was guest of honour. He highlighted the importance of organic culture in the State. Also present were Baldev Singh Bilowria, Jammu district president of BJP and SSP Ramesh Kotwal.
While speaking on the occasion, Rohit Gupta, Managing Director, Sarveshwar Foods Limited, promised that the company will always look for the betterment of people of J&K. He said ‘Nimbark’ is an organic retail outlet cum cafe shop. All types of organic cereals, pulses, spices, dry fruit, super foods are available here.
He said that one can enjoy a cup of organic tea/coffee/ healthy juice while purchasing groceries. “Company has got the plan to go with chain of stores under franchise model and plans to have about 20 stores nationally by this financial year end”, he added.
