Sarthal, Lowang people concerned over bad condition of road

KATHUA, July 16: The residents of Bani Lowang have expressed grave concern over the dilapidated condition of Bani -Sarthal road which has added to their woes.
The inhabitants of the area are demanding intensification of construction work on road so that the people are relieved of the problems. This road is prone to accidents due to its worst condition. The people urged the construction agency to look into the problem and intensify the work on war footing basis.
Moreover, the dust pollution has created health hazards in the area. The residents alleged that the Bani has been ignored under Tourism Sector also though it has a lot of potential for promotion of tourism. The people in Sarthal area lack medical facilities and no ambulance service is available. In case of accident even there is no availability of first aid for the injured people. The patients are either to be shifted to Bhadarwah or Bani as no proper medical facilities are available in Sarthal.
Moreover, there is no mobile tower connectivity from Sarthal to Chatargala and despite the repeated pleas the authorities failed to pay attention to the demand.
The people have made an appeal to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and DC Kathua to look into this problems being faced by people of Lowang and Sarthal on priority basis.
