RAMBAN, Oct 11: A meeting of Sarpanchs and Panchs of Block Gool was held wherein their security aspect was discussed threadbare.
During the meeting, various speakers expressed that keeping in view present situation, security is most essential but unfortunately no arrangement has been made for their security.
The meeting pointing out that since the establishment of Panchayati Raj, no seating arrangement (even a single chair) has been provided for Panchayat staff though the concerned authorities have been given an amount of Rs 100000 for this purpose. So far no amount has been transferred in our account, they maintained.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting that no Sarpanch or Panch would participate in the campaign of election unless proper security and sitting arrangements were provided to them.
