Saroori reviews post-snowfall situation

KISHTWAR, Mar 19: Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohd Saroori today took stock of situation in his constituency after the recent snowfall.
Mr Saroori along with some leaders of district body paid visit to several affected villages to get first hand account of the problems faced by the people. The MLA visited Dedpeth, Mughal Maidan, Kuriya and reviewed availability of essential commodities and restoration of essential supplies. The people from Loidhar, Tagood, Mulchitter, Sigdi, Bhaata, Balana, Rahalthal, Kuchal, Durbeel, Hurna, Pahalwar, Bunda and Parna also met the MLA and projected their problems.
He enquired about the post snowfall situation and asked the officers to take all measures to ensure that people did not suffer on account of disruption in supplies. He directed the concerned agencies to clear snow and ensure movement of traffic on all the link roads. Mr Saroori also asked the PDD and PHE authorities to restore power and water supply to the affected areas.
The MLA also asked the CAPD authorities concerned to ensure supplies of kerosene oil and food-grains to the public of this remote area. The broken power supply be restored on war-footing and people be provided some relief, he maintained.
Sarpanch Association president Chhatroo Tariq Wani, Vidya Lal-Sarpanch, Nazir Ahmed, Abdul Latief, Ch Noor Din, Mohd Amin, Lal Din and others also accompanied Saroori.
