JAMMU, Feb 16: Under the patronage of Sant Tejwant Singh, the Sant Pura Danna Trust organized a grand Gurmat Samagam at Gurudwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Domana, in Jammu, in the memory of Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna.
This annual event honours the profound legacy of Sant Gurbaksh Singh Ji, who played a pioneering role in establishing the revered Dera in Jammu and was instrumental in settling migrant populations during the partition of 1947 in different areas of Jammu.
The Gurmat Samagam witnessed overwhelming participation from a large number of devotees from various regions, who gathered to pay their respects and seek spiritual blessings. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Bhai Ravinder Singh Ji and Bhai Simranjeet Singh, Hazoori Ragi Jathas from Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar. Their soul-stirring Kirtan uplifted the spiritual ambiance, leaving the congregation deeply moved.
In addition to the mesmerizing Kirtan, renowned religious preachers delivered enlightening discourses, sharing the teachings and values cherished by Sant Gurbaksh Singh. The Katha Vachaks and Pracharaks included Bhai Harpinder Singh, Mission Incharge J&K deputed by SGPC, Bhai Balwant Singh, Gurmeet Singh, and others. The event served as a profound reminder of Sant Gurbaksh Singh Ji’s selfless service and dedication to spreading the message of Gurbani.
Prominent personalities present at the Samagam included Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister, Satish Sharma Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, ARI & Trainings, Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial president NC, Devyani Rana BJP leader, Gurmukh Singh, former Minister; Ajay Sadhotra- former Minister; Sat Paul Sharma- BJP president J&K; Ravinder Raina, senior BJP Leader; Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, ex-MLC; Ranjit Singh Tohra, President DGPC Jammu; Balvinder Singh, vice president DGPC and others.
A large number of parents of school children from SGSD International and members of the management committee, including Ravinder Kour, Tejinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, and others, were also present. Notably, Gurcharan Singh Bagi, deeply involved with the Dera, had specially flown in from the USA to participate in the Samagam and was honoured by the Dera.
Sant Tejwant Singh expressed gratitude to all the devotees, especially the group from Sri Ganganagar, and all the Sewadars who arranged stalls for the devotees.
