Sant Nirankari Mandal donates 63 units of blood

JAMMU, July 15: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Akhnoor.
The camp was inaugurated by Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, he said that blood donation is a need of time. During the camp, the Foundation members donated 63 units of blood.
Other dignitaries presented in the camp were Dr Kajal from Blood Bank, GMC Jammu, Dinesh Gupta, Honorary  Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society Jammu, Chuni Lal (Sanchalak) and several prominent senior citizens of the town.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal said that even though basically the Mission is a spiritual movement, it has been making a significant contribution towards social welfare activities also. He said that while launching the series in 1986, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj had said that ‘Blood should flow in veins and not in drains.’
The camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Deptartment of Government Medical College, Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.
