JAMMU, Aug 13: Sanskrit Week, which was celebrated from August 7, concluded at Kendriya Vidyalaya Jindrah, today.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and carried various activities like recitation of shlokas, skit, storytelling competition of panctantra, upnishad, Sanskrit songs and story writing competition etc.
Prof Vishvmurti who was presented President Award was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Principal, Y K Shakya presented welcome address.
He said study of Sanskrit can help in eradicating all evils from the society, adding that two things important to make India great are Sanskrit and culture.
He further said that Indian culture can be transmitted through Sanskrit, adding that young generation which is unaware of the Indian tradition needs to study Sanskrit.
