‘Sankalp Divas’ commemorated at CUJ

JAMMU, Feb 21: The Department of National Security Studies and Dean Students’ Welfare, Central University of Jammu, in association with Jammu Kashmir Study Centre (JKSC), organized ‘Sankalp Divas’ programme.
The event was presided over by Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu. The chief guest and main speaker of the event was Rupesh Kumar, Prant Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Prof Virender Koundal, Vice President JKSC, respectively.
While addressing the gathering, as the main speaker, Rupesh Kumar explained various important aspects of PoJK and PoTL and further congratulated the University for organizing such events. He motivated and encouraged the participants to contribute their best to preserve the unity and integrity of the nation.
Prof Sanjeev Jain, in his Presidential address, appreciated the Department of National Security Studies and Dean Students’ Welfare, Central University of Jammu and Jammu Kashmir Study Centre for successfully organizing the event which is relevant for public awareness and national interest. For motivating and encouraging the students towards the building of “Akhand Bharat”, the Vice Chancellor, also made special announcements in this regard.
Prof Virender Koundal, Vice President JKSC, gave a brief introduction of Jammu Kashmir Study Center and further highlighted the achievements of the center.
Earlier, Prof Ritu Bakshi, Dean Students’ Welfare presented welcome address. On the occasion, a documentary on PoJK and PoTL were screened. Further, dignitaries released the book “Mera Gaon, Mere Prerna Strot” written by Dr Shashank Kulkarni, Post-doc. Fellow, Central University of Jammu and Kuljeet Singh, Scholar, CSIT Department, Central University of Jammu and ShoDH J&K State Convenor.
The event was moderated by Dr Nancy Mengi, HoD, Department of Social Work. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof Vinay Kumar, Dean Physical and Applied Sciences.
The program was attended by JKSC members, faculty members, scholars and students of different departments of Central University of Jammu.
