BHADERWAH, Oct 23: Dr Sanjeev Kumar Koul, son of Ram Prashad Koul, a resident of Mohalla Khakhal Bhaderwah has been conferred with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Scientific Excellence by Marina Labs, Research and Development, Chennai.
Dr Kumar was honoured with this award for his outstanding contribution and recognition in the field of Mushroom Science.
Dr Sanjeev is an alumnus of the Department of Botany, University of Jammu who did his Doctorate under the supervision of Dr Yash Pal Sharma and is presently posted at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhalra, Bhaderwah.
He has worked extensively on the wild mushroom flora of Jammu and Kashmir and has presented his research across the country and abroad.
Dr Koul has published 41 research papers in National and International Journals and attended 44 National and 10 International conferences.
