JAMMU, May 4: Sangram Sena and Dogra Liberation Front (DLF) have taken strong exception to the slaughter house near Dogra Hall and demanded immediate shifting or closure of the same from the vicinity.
In a joint meeting of Sangram Sena and Dogra Liberation Front that held under the chairmanship of Ram Rattan Raina, president, J&K Sangram Sena and Kapil Sharma, president, Dogra Liberation Front, Jammu, the speakers said that slaughter house near Dogra Hall has created resentment amongst the inhabitants, as blood and other waste of slaughter house are thrown in the drains, which emit foul smell and invite various types of insects, vultures, dogs and other animals.
“Above all the slaughter house is located in front of a Shiv Temple, which hurts the sentiments of the devotees visiting the temple”, they said and demanded Jammu Municipal Corporation to ensure either closure or shifting of slaughter house from the vicinity.
