RAJOURI, Apr 10: In continuation to its week long “Rajouri Day celebrations” , Sangarsh organized a written Quiz competition on the topic ‘Our Rajouri Our Pride’ and a seminar on the theme ‘Peace, Prosperity and Brotherhood- Ways to Prosperity”, here today.
More than hundred students from different schools and colleges of Rajouri participated in the events and expressed their views.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman Pahari Advisory Board, Kuldeep Raj Gupta said that we should respect each others religious sentiments and pay due respect to others religious festivals and gatherings, which is the only key to peace and prosperity in the society.
Shahbaz Khan, Member Advisory Committee, advocated to introduce the teachings of moral and ethical values in school curriculum so that from the beginning, the students get the positive direction and develop harmonious minds which will further help in the establishment of a society free from all kinds of evil thoughts and activities.
The general secretary of Sangarsh Movement, Dr Suresh Kumar opined that in the mad race of so called modernization, materialism and fashion, we are going away from mutual living which is not a good sign for the prosperous living.
In his presidential address, MLA Rajouri constituency, Qamar Hussain claimed that Indian nation is the only country in the whole globe which represents unity in diversity and this shows that the roots of morality and inter-religious tolerance are very much in our mind and heart.
While interacting with the students, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shaber Ahmed Bhat said that the upcoming young generation is the only ray of hope to create a peaceful society based on collective growth and prosperity.
The welcome address was presented by Advocate Shokit Ali while the vote of thanks was delivered by Advocate Israr Mirza. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Vikrant Sharma, event coordinator.
