JAMMU, Oct 16: Sangam Tru Art Production (STAP) in collaboration with Union Ministry of Culture, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Shivalik Ram Lila Club Bishnah today staged a Folk Theatre Production under Title ‘Duggar De Rang’ at Ram Lila Ground, Bishnah.
Ashwani Sharma, ex-MLA Bishnah, was the chief guest, Narayan Dutt Sharma, president, Beopar Mandal, Bishnah, presided over the function while Suraj Prakash Sharma, member, Municipal Committee, Bishnah, Pt Ghani Shyam Shastri and Bishan Dass (senior RSS member from Bishnah) were the guests of honour.
Baba Ram (Lamberdar), Thoru Ram (Lamberdar), Mintu Gupta and Mohan Lal Gupta, Principal, Aryan Little Buds School, Bishnah, were the special guests of the function. The welcome address was presented by Romesh Chander, president of the organization.
The main objective of the event was promotion of State culture, particularly Duggar culture. The main characters of the production were Paramjeet Kumar (Titu) and Vijay Jeetu as Chacha Chattar and Bua Pebo and others.
The production was written and directed by Romesh Chander. The folk parties which participated in the event include Mohan Lal and party, Om Prakash and party, Anjana Padwal and party, Sonia and party, Suresh Kumar and party, Sahil Gill and party, Raj Kumar and party and Suman Lata and party. The lights and sound were executed by Pritam.
