UDHAMPUR, Feb 16: A Nuked Natak (street play) based on our fundamental duties was presented by Sangam Theatre Reasi in association with Department of Information & Public Relation, J&K, here today at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Udhampur.
Large number of audience from all walks of life, including senior citizens, locals, students and general public witnessed the street play and appreciated the efforts through such type of plays for the awareness of general public. Officials of the Information Department were also present on the occasion.
Artists of the street play generated awareness among the people about their fundamental duties. The script, of the play was written by Shadab Khan and designed and directed by M Akram Khan. The artists who acted in the Nuked Play were Rohit Kumar, Anil Kumar, Anjali Anand, Akram Khan, Pankaj Sharma, Rajat Sharma, Sarita Devi, Inder Jeet Singh, Rashab Banathia, Mohan Lal, Lucky Dogra and Raja Aamir.
Through the street play, the artists made audiences aware about fundamental duties, our Constitution, citizenship rights and responsibilities. The play covered all aspects of a citizen, respect the Constitution, the National Flag and the National Anthem; cherish the noble ideals of the freedom struggle; uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India; defend the country and render national service when called; promote harmony and common brotherhood amongst all the people of India; preserve the rich heritage of the nation’s composite culture; protect the natural environment and have compassion for living creatures; develop scientific temper, humanism and spirit of inquiry and reform; safeguard public property and abjure violence; strive for excellence in all individual and collective activity.
