JAMMU, Dec 22: Sandeep Mengi, Managing Director of Maharishi Dayanand Hospital, has made Jammu proud once again by bagging prestigious South Asia Pacific (SAP) Healthcare Summit and Business Award.
Son of the soil, Sandeep Mengi son of late Vijay Kumar Mengi, was chosen in the category of Outstanding Achievement Award in Healthcare Social Causes. The awards were presented by Medilinks India and News 1 India at an impressive ceremony held in New Delhi.
Sandeep received award from chief guest Ashok Tanwar (former MP). The programme was also graced by Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwani Kumar Choubey, Harish Rawat (former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand), Mahavir S Chouhan (retired Justice), Kunwar Pal Singh Chauhan (Advocate, social activist), Mufti Shamoon Qasim (founder member, Anna Andolan).
Besides, Rohit Tannar (bollywood actor and director), Anurag Chadda (Editor-in-Chief, News 1 India), Asheet Kunal (MD News 1 India), Dr Girish Tyagi (secretary, Delhi Medical Association), Ankita Kundu (sports celebrity and famous mountaineer), eminent doctors, experts in different fields and prominent members of civil society were also present.
Sandeep Mengi is also MD of Centre for Eye Sight (a unit of Kyzen Health Care Solutions Private Limited), Nephrocare Dialysis Centre, Nephrocare Intensive Care Unit and General ICU and Vijay Jyoti Pharma Traders.
He is also executive member of Association of Healthcare Professional of India (North Zone chapter), executive member of Board of Development for Sports in India, member of Media Federation of India (J&K chapter) and vice-president of Federation of All India Vipar Mandal (J&K chapter).
Mengi has also been awarded with LBN Onco Ambassador for his contribution in the field of cancer awareness by chairman LBNROH and 101 Fabulous Global Health Care Leaders by Dr R L Bhatia Foundation at Taj Hotel, Mumbai on February 14, 2020.
