LEH, Dec 1: Commissioner Secretary Tourism UT Ladakh Rigzin Samphel chaired a meeting regarding border tourism today.
A detailed discussion about the importance of border tourism was made along with various other aspects of tourism sector.
Commissioner Secretary stressed on exploring tourism avenues in Ladakh and border tourism would be an added feature in this field. Samphel gave directions to the concerned departments for proper research for quality and sustainable tourism that would not only help generate income but would also help maintain the originality, essence and esthetics of these areas.
The meeting was attended by Director Tourism Ladakh Kunzes Angmo, AIG/Personal, Stanzin Norboo, Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh, Sonam Chosjor and Assistant Director Tourism Leh, Jigmet Namgail.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary, SSP Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar and officers of concerned departments attended the meeting through video conference.
