Samoon reviews stock position

SRINAGAR, Jan 20: Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, who is also looking after the functioning of Winter Secretariat convened a meeting of provincial officers and all the Deputy Commissioners through Video Conference and took stock of supply position and other essential commodities besides rehabilitation measures being taken for the flood affected people during winter days.
Dr. Samoon was informed that all measures had been taken for rehabilitation of flood victims and buffer stock of ration and other essentials has been made available in the far flung areas of Valley including Ladakh region.
He was informed that for ensuring snow clearance in Valley all the arrangements have been put in place for which snow cutter machines have been kept available in all districts. He was informed that for cleaning snow from the roads control rooms have already been set up in all the districts. He was informed that as many as 17 snow cutter machines in district Anantnag, 9 in Bandipora, 8 in Kulgam and 9 in Kupwara were kept available. He reiterated for speedy and timely redressal of public grievances.
Dr. Samoon also instructed the concerned to provide electricity to the consumers strictly as per the schedule and also ensure checking to curb black marketing.
