This has reference to media reports with regard to “Samoohik Suryanamaskaar Mahayagya” organised by Swami Viveknand Shaaradshati Samaroh Samiti throughout the country on 18 February 2013. In J&K it was held at different places including twelve venues in the city and adjoining localities. It was heartening to note and soothing to mind in the prevailing scenario that a large number of students both girls and boys from class ninth to twelve turned out in massive strength to perform the suryanamaskar which is holistic physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual worship of the superstar in the solar system sans whose grace no life on earth planet can be imagined. By performing suryanamaskar the flow of solar energy gets regulated in the body which also harmonises the mind and triggers co-ordination of body and mind. It augments the concentration and activates the dormant energy in the body.
The organisers of the event deserve kudos and comprehensive commendations in full measure who put in best of their efforts to involve private as well as government schools, trained the students in performing the ten postures of the suryanamaskar synchronising seven most effective yogaasans . It is highly amazing and laudable effort with a visionary thinking to galvanise and motivate the youth.
Let us arise, awake and stop not till the dream of Swami Vivekanand of seeing Bharat Mata duly coronated and established as the presiding deity of the world.
