JAMMU, Apr 18: Sanjay Saraf, national spokesman of Lok Janshakti Party and Ravi Tickoo State president of LJP today inaugurated 2nd branch of women wing of Samooh Theatre here at village Pakhian, Mishriwala, Jammu.
While addressing to large gathering of women folk of the nearby villages Sanjay Saraf said that Government of India has introduced various schemes for the empowerment and development of the women. He disclosed the name of various schemes which have been introduced by the Central Government. He stressed that instead of sitting idle at home the women should take benefit of these schemes to raise their economic standard.
Ravi Tickoo congratulated the society and appreciated the selfless efforts of the society. He also ensured full support to the society to strengthen the cause especially to raise the standard of downtrodden women.
Anita Chandpuri, secretary, Women Wing of Samooh Theatre, while welcoming the guests disclosed the objectives of the branch inaugurated today. She also invited the women to come forward to get registered themselves to get the benefit of the institute which is to provide education and training in the field of computer education and fashion designing besides Open Schooling for the the drop out candidates if any in the village.
On this occasion Sardar Gurbachan Singh, Sarpanch Mishriwala, Chairman Panchyayat Sushil Kumar, Kamal Chandpuri and the prominent inhabitants of the village were present and also spoke during the programme.
The programme was conducted by Bunty Raina and Daisy Bhat, while Sushil Kumar presented vote of thanks.
