JAMMU, Sept 18: Chief of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Seva Dal, BS Sambyal along with Seva Dal workers, is continuously visiting flood and rain hit areas of Sure Chak and Makwal to take stock of the damages occurred to houses, crops and other properties and listening to the problems of the flood affected people.
While interacting with the affected families, Sambyal assured them that he will highlighted their genuine demands before the high command and concerned quarters very soon. He also distributed pages having helpline numbers to the flood and rain affected people.
He said our volunteers are ready to donate the blood for rain affected families in the hospitals or anywhere in the State. Sambyal said various Congress Seva Dal relief committees have been constituted in every district headquarters and control rooms set up to expedite the relief and rehabilitation work.
Sambyal urged the State Government to immediately provide relief to the farmers, whose irrigation facilities and crops have been destroyed. He also demanded immediate restoration of road connectivity and emphasized the need of speeding up the relief and rehabilitation operations for victims of rains and flood.
He said Government should give adequate compensation and shelter to the farmers immediately without any further delay.
