Samba police seizes 5 more vehicles for illegal mining

SAMBA, July 28: In continuation to drive against illegal mining launched on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has seized five more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Police teams comprising of SHO, Police Station (PS) Vijaypur, Tribhawan Khajuria, SHO Police Station, Purmandal, Vijay Verma, SHO PS, Ghagwal, Bharat Bhushan, SHO PS, Samba, Rajeshwar Singh and In charge Police Post (PP) Goran, Sajid Jaral under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar, SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized five more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included one dumper bearing Registration No.JK21G-6599, two tractor trolleys with Registration Nos. JK21C-0800 & JK21G-8797 and two tractor trolleys without registration Nos.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 103 vehicles have been seized in past six months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district.
