SAMBA, Apr 16: Samba police foiled bovine smuggling bid after arresting a bovine smuggler and rescuing six bovines in Basanter river area, Samba.
According to the report, after getting information about smuggling of bovines from Katli by foot through Basanter river towards Udhampur, a police party of PP SIDCO laid special naka at Basanter river area and arrested a bovine smuggler who was trying to smuggle six bovines by foot from Katli, Samba.
The accused has been identified as Goggar Ali, S/o Mohammed. Shafi of Diani Katli, Samba. All the six cattle were rescued & shifted to safer place.
A case FIR No. 89/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act registered at P/S Samba and investigation taken up.
