Samba police rescues 31 bovines, foils 2 smuggling attempts

SAMBA, Mar 30: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr.Abhishek Mahajan, Samba police has foiled two attempts to smuggle bovines last night in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and rescued 31 bovines .
A Police party of Police Post (PP) Mansar while vehicle checking duty at Naka Mansar, noticed some persons moving with herd of cattle under suspicious conditions.
On seeing the police, the suspected persons taking advantage of darkness fled away from the spot leaving behind the herd of 21 cattle which were being smuggled illegally.
In this regard a case FIR No. 73/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba.
In another similar incident, a police party of PP Mansar rescued a herd of 10 more bovines at Naka Mansar, Samba which were being smuggled by some unknown persons moving by foot in the area.
In this regard a case FIR No. 74/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba.
All the cattle were rescued and shifted to a safer place.
