Samba police rescues 20 bovine animals

Samba, Jan 31: After assuming the charge of District Police Samba, Joginder Singh, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Samba called the meeting of all the Sub-divisional Police Officers/Station House Officers of District Samba and necessary directions have been imparted to keep check on crime, law and order situation, security scenario of the District vis-a-vis proper functioning of Police Stations/Police Posts/Border Police Posts.
Acting on the directions, Strong Nakas have been laid at different locations to curb bovine as well as narcotic smuggling through district Samba and accordingly, Naka Parties headed by Inspector Ravinder Parihar, SHO P/S Samba and SI Vikas Hans, Incharge PP Supwal under the supervision of Feisel Qureshi, Addl. SP Samba, rescued 20 bovine animals from two Nakas, one of which was laid at Supwal and the other at Dhiani Samba.
The bovine animals loaded in four vehicles were transported towards Punjab for selling purpose. Accordingly, the vehicles bearing Registration Numbers JK08C-4057, JK08B-8406, JK08B-2371 & JK02AV-6496 were seized and case FIRs under FIR No. 20/2015, 21/2015. 22/2015 and 23/2015 under Section 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act, 429 RPC were registered at P/S Samba and investigation carried on.
