Samba Police rescues 17 bovines, seizes truck

SAMBA, Feb 25: On the directions of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra against drug menace and bovine smuggling, Samba Police once again foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued 17 cattle during nakka checking at Mansar Morh  here, today.
According to the sources, at around 7am this morning a team of Police Station Samba headed by Inspector, Chanchal Singh, SHO Police Station Samba along with PP Supwal laid a nakka on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway near Mansar Morh and intercepted a truck bearing registration no- JK02AL-6787 which was coming from Kathua side.
During the checking police found 17 cattle illegally transported in the vehicle. Police rescued the cattle and seized the truck.
The whole operation was conducted under the directions of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra and direct supervision of DySP Headquarter Samba, Deepak Digra.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
