SAMBA, Aug 1: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Samba police today in a joint drive with district civil administration booked 156 persons across the district Samba and imposed a fine amounting to Rs 81,000 on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of district Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), the various joint teams of Samba police and district civil administration booked 156 persons for not wearing face masks, not following social distancing norms and for spitting in public places.
Samba police appeals to citizens of district to always wear a face mask, be strict in crowded areas, always follow COVID Appropriate Behavior as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. People are further advised to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene.
Meanwhile, to ensure strict implementation of guidelines issued by the district administration, Kathua police today fined 25 violators and imposed fine of Rs 8000 for not obeying COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and defying guidelines.
