SAMBA, Nov 27: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 15.25 grams heroin along with cash of rupees 14000.00 from their possession.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur, during naka established at underpass NHW-44near AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted an Exter Car bearing Registration Number JK11G-9902 for checking which was coming from Rakh Barotian side and moving towards NHW-44. During frisking, approximately 15.25 grams heroin and cash of rupees 14000.00 were recovered from the possession of two persons travelling in the car.
The drug peddlers identified as Mohd Rizwan, son of Mohd Lukman of Kayiana tehsil Thana Mandi, district, Rajouri and Arfan Ahmed Mirza, son of Khalil Ahmed Mirza of Behorte ,tehsil, Thana Mandi, district Rajouri have been arrested and the contraband item along with cash has been seized. The vehicle used in the offence has also been seized by the Police in the instant case, police said.
Police said a case FIR No 133/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Acthas been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
