JAMMU, Dec 25: Promising explosive batsman, Abdul Samad scored brisk 71 runs in the losing battle against Uttarakhand in the 63rd National School Games Under-19 Boys Cricket Tournament, being organized under the banner of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) at Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
As per the reports reaching here, J&K scored 118 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Abdul Samad top scored with 71 runs, studded with 11 boundaries. He sent the rival bowlers on a leather hunt as he was in awe-inspiring touch. From Uttarakhand, Ranjit, Jagmohan, Prashant, Imran and Gourav claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Uttarakhand chased the target in the last over by losing 7 wickets. Sachin Rawat top scored with 24 runs. Muneeb Ali took 2 wickets for Jammu and Kashmir, while Abdul Samad, Sampark Gupta, Kawkab and Junaid claimed one wicket each.
