UDHAMPUR, June 25: Taking cognizance of a complaint filed by a female teacher alleging mental harassment by Zonal Education Officer, Ramnagar, who was not releasing her salary for the last six months, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur today ordered withholding of the salary of the erring ZEO.
According to reports, a teacher Meenakshi Sharma posted at MS Guddal , Sunetar in Ramnagar educational zone, filed a written complain to the Deputy Commissioner and submitted that she was on deputation duty since December 2014, but the ZEO Chuni Lal did not release her salary thereby causing mental harassment to her and family.
Deputy Commissioner, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary took serious notice of the complaint and ordered that salary of the ZEO as well as ZEO office staff should be withheld with immediate effect. The DC issued necessary instruction to the treasury officer in this regard.
