Salal Power Station organizes Cardiac Camp

JAMMU, July 24: Salal Power Station organised a free Cardiac Camp in association with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital today at NHPC Hospital, Jyotipuram.
Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station, Rakesh Goel, Chief Engineer (Civil), other senior officers and employees of Salal, CISF personnel and locals were also present on the occasion.
A team of doctors headed by Dr. Neeraj Mahajan, DM (Cardiology) accomplished the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Shekhar said that regular consultation with a Cardiologist may reduce the risk of cardiac arrest to a greater extent.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Neeraj said body over weight causes heart to work harder and thus increases the risk of heart diseases. Regular exercise, eating less and sound sleep for over 6 hours a day may help a lot.
In all 57 patients, including locals were checked up. During the camp various tests like ECG, Blood Sugar were also conducted.
