‘Saksham’ organizes awareness programme

JAMMU, Dec 22: The organization ‘Saksham’ today organized an awareness programme at Bishnah to educate the members of society that physically impaired persons too deserve all dignity and respect in the society.
Pawan Dev Singh, J&K president of Saksham said, society has a responsibility to look after the physically impaired persons.
He also said that specially-abled people should not be looked upon with mercy but should be cared and looked upon with human approach.
Surjeet Singh, Convener Saksham and Avey Pargal, National Executive Member of Saksham also spoke on the occasion and explained the aims and objectives of Saksham.
Rehana Batul, Director Social Welfare Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion and she hailed the efforts of Saksham.
Rakesh Magotra, Block Medical Officer Bishnah was the guest of honour and he informed about various medical schemes for specially-abled people while Dr Gautam Mengi, RSS leader presided over the function.
