Sajid Iqbal Foundation organises blood donation camp

SRINAGAR, May 18: In memory of  late Sajid Iqbal Khanday, who died in car accident  in May 2011, Sajid Iqbal Foundation: Peace and Human Rights, organized blood donation camp at SKIMS.
Director SKIMS & Ex-officio Secretary to Government Dr. Showkat Zargar hailed the Sajid Iqbal Foundation for organising blood donation camp.
Executive Director of the Foundation Sehr Iqbal appreciated the response of volunteers and their enthusiasm to donate blood on the occasion. She said foundation will continue such activities in future as well so that critical patients who are referred to SKIMS  are benefitted.
Dr. Furqan Iqbal Bhat, Senior Resident Department of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology & Hemoglobin informed 65 units of blood were donated by volunteers which will be of great help in meeting the requirements of needy patients.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Khanday and Kaneez Fatima were present on the occasion. They were received by Director and Dr. Omar Javid Shah HoD Surgical Gastroenterology, Dr. Gul Javid HoD Gastroenterology, Dr. Aijaz Mustafa MS SKIMS. and Dr. Riyaz Rangrez Shah HoD Hospital Administration.
Sajid Iqbal was a noble soul who in his young age had committed his life to social issues and worked for poor people of the State. Sajid Iqbal Foundation: Peace and Human Rights which was founded in 2011 and is involved in various social activities.
