Sainik Samaj Party raises demands of retired personnel of armed forces

JAMMU, Feb 7: Sainik Samaj Party has raised the demands of retired personnel of armed forces from J&K.
In a press conference here today Colonel S.S Pathania (retired), president of Sainik Samaj Party said a quota should be given to the armed personnel after their retirement to do government jobs.

He also said that ex-gratia grant is given to the personnel of forces from J&K when they get martyred in J&K but same is denied when they attain martyrdom while serving in some other State.
Colonel Pathania said this should be stopped and armed forces personnel from J&K should be given ex-gratia wherever they get martyred.
Other demands raised included increase in age limit from 48 years to 55 years for ex-servicemen to apply for government jobs.
More demands included increase in annuity to gallantry winners and constitution of Corporation for veterans to implement schemes related to the welfare and development of veterans and their families.
