JAMMU, June 13: Sahitya Akademi organised a Kavi Sandhi and Katha Sandhi at Writers Club Jammu, here today.
Kavi Sandhi is the programme in which a poet of eminence recites his best selection of poems with his experience of writings. In Dogri, this programme was done with Ashok Angoorana as the invited poet, who entered in field of Dogri poetry with new idiom, thoughts and vocabulary. He has published his two collections of poetry books in Dogri. Today he recited his new compositions and mesmerized the audience.
The next programme was Katha Sandhi, in which a story writer of eminence narrates his story before audience with brief experiences of writings. In this programme, Girdhari Lal Rahi was the story writer who read out his two best stories recently written by him.
Padma Shri awardee Mohan Singh, convener Advisory Board Sahitya Akademi New Delhi, introduced both the writers with brief note of introduction and purpose of the programmes designed by Sahitya Akademi.
