Sagar for timely completion of beautification, development projects

SRINAGAR, June 11:  Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar has directed the concerned to ensure completion of all developmental projects for beautification and development of Srinagar City within the shortest possible time.
The Minister was interacting with the officers during his extensive tour to personally oversee the status of implementation of various developmental projects undertaken for ensuring beautification and development of the Srinagar city. He was accompanied by senior officers of different departments like SMC, UEED, PHE, PDD, R&B, etc.
While asking the officers to speed up the pace of work on the community hall being constructed at Dualatabad, Khaniyar, the Minister directed them to ensure its completion by the year end. He said that the hall would go a long way in providing the much needed facilities to the people of the area for carrying out their social functions.
The Minister also directed the PDD authorities to ensure that the electric facilities are properly augmented, so that the people of the areas like Khawajapora, Saidpora, Rainawari, Dualatabad, Miskeenbagh etc. do not face any un-necessary inconvenience due to due to lack of the infrastructure. He also said that he would provide the necessary funds out of his constituency development fund for the upgradation of electric facilities.
Mr. Sagar also directed the concerned officers of UEED to ensure that the drainage system of the area functions properly so that the water logging does not take place in the areas which are in the catchment of the water bodies.
The Minister also directed the R&B officers to undertake the requisite macadamization of areas where the roads are in a dilapidated condition for the general convenience of the people.
